INTERNSHIP SUMMARY

SoLa Impact is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles. As a Finance Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of SoLa Impact, gaining valuable experience and insights into finance practices within the social impact and real estate investment sectors.

Duration: Monday, May 20th - Friday, August 23rd, 2024
Location: The Beehive, 961 E. 61st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90001
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 9:30am - 4:00pm, with flexible hours available

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist the Finance team in financial data entry, analysis, and reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate in the preparation of financial documents and presentations
• Conduct research on financial trends, market analysis, and investment opportunities
• Assist with the review and reconciliation of financial statements
• Aid in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Participate in meetings and discussions regarding financial strategies and investment decisions
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance department as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related degree program
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications; familiarity with financial software is a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to tasks
• Knowledge of basic finance principles and investment concepts is preferred
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and financial tools
