Finance Manager - Urgent Position

Position Overview

Provide financial and analytical support to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning. Candidate will be familiar with subscription-based models and direct marketing. Assist with monthly explanation of budget variance analysis.  Candidate should be comfortable in assuming ownership of critical functions, be adept at managing multiple priorities, and will be expected to take initiative internally within the Finance organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly expense variance analysis across several areas:
• Download actuals and compare to budget. Provide variance explanations to help operating areas as well as financial operations understand the drivers of the business each month
• Provide cash forecasts on a monthly basis
• Work closely with Accounting to review accruals and capture expenses accurately and promptly
• Keep track of key performance metrics to ensure the health of the business stays on track
• Communicate and review results with department managers and senior management on a monthly basis
• Help streamline processes by implementing automation and creating dashboards
• Help support the operating teams by providing analytical support to gain approval on various projects while providing financial oversight
• Work with marketing partners to conduct contract reviews and corresponding financial summaries to analyze financial impact of agreements
• Assist in the analysis of annual departmental budgets and reforecasts and long range plans
• Update actuals in the models
• Proactively make recommendations for changes that will improve accuracy in budgets, reforecasts and business plans
• Help create PowerPoint presentations for budgets and other financial plans
• Perform business case analysis

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Finance including modeling and analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA a plus
• Experience in subscription based businesses and direct marketing with basic understanding of accounting
• Strong financial analysis and quantitative skills (Advanced Excel skills a must)
• Anaplan & Tableau is a plus
• Self-starter that can work with all levels across the company in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented professional with solid time management skills and good judgment
