We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate process and recording of the company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, daily data entry and perform related work as required.

Responsibilities:

• Understand all aspects of payroll regarding payroll laws and regulations.
• Manage work-flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees: in the areas of compensation, taxes, benefits, how to clock in/out, how to request time off.
• Perform daily/weekly/semi-monthly payroll operations.
• Process employee data (new hires, changes).
• Process 401K, HSA and garnishment payments.
• Complete employment verifications and unemployment insurance information requests.
• Process accurate and timely reports as needed along with year-end reporting.
• Process manual checks.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in payroll processing
• Associates degree in accounting (preferred)
• SAP experience preferred
• Working knowledge of payroll best practices
• Strong knowledge of federal and multiple state regulations
• Strong PC knowledge including proficiency in Excel
• Detail-oriented and able to deal with difficult, sensitive, and confidential information
• Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
