Financial Aid Director

Private Career College seeking a Director of Financial Services and a Financial Aid Officer (Title IV and VA Funding Experience required for both positions). Full-time position requiring at experience in the field of at least two years in financial aid or Higher Education Title IV and Veteran's funding programs. Must be dependable, friendly and professional. Please do NOT apply if you do not have at least two years of experience AND/OR able to do lots of math, understand federal regulations and policies, follow-up and completion of lots of tasks along with strict deadlines. You must be a detail type person who checks work twice. This job requires lots of paperwork, filing, organizational skills and strong customer service for students. Must be able to mentor staff, be a Team Member working with other departments, especially enrollment services, meet deadlines, and be serious about learning and monitoring existing and new regulations. Must be able to perform occasional audits to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities
- Process student loans and financial aid applications
- Provide excellent customer service to students and families regarding financial aid inquiries
- Utilize communication skills to effectively explain financial services and options to students
- Assist with filing and organizing financial aid documents
- Conduct financial analysis to determine eligibility for aid programs

- Collaborate with accounting department to ensure accurate financial records
- Utilize software by a third party servicer for financial aid processing
- Support education administration by staying up-to-date on financial aid regulations and policies
- Use math skills to calculate financial aid packages accurately and efficiently
