The Financial Analyst supports the Controller with daily accounting processes and procedures of the Company. This position is also responsible for providing support and temporary coverage as needed for finance department team members.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
Process, review, and post daily transactions to maintain the general ledger and inventory systems in compliance with GAAP.
Actively participate in inventory reconciliation, including monitoring and researching inventory issues.
Provide coverage and additional support for finance team members including but not limited to Controller, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable as required.
Reconcile credit card statements, verify all card holders are submitting valid receipts for expenditures and are coded accurately.
Process incoming credit applications by checking trade references and analyzing risk in conjunction with Controller. Write letters informing customers of changes in credit limits and assist in determining when credit limits/terms should be revoked.
Communicate with internal teams and vendors to coordinate tasks and provide support for new projects and programs.
Assist Controller in the development and production of reports, special projects, and miscellaneous tasks.
Manage and monitor customer sales tax exemptions and related documentation.
Assist outside IT consultant with monitoring backups and other IT related tasks as requested.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with co-workers.
Other tasks as requested.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
Practical experience working in cloud-based ERP systems
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
The Financial Analyst must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision. While performing the duties of this position, you must be able to interact professionally with vendors, employees, and customers. The Financial Analyst must be able to multitask, manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and have a demonstrated ability to stay focused, calm, and execution-oriented in changing circumstances.
This position is performed primarily in an office setting on site. The Financial Analyst must be able to communicate with visitors and customers. The employee must be able to type and perform fine motor skill tasks frequently throughout their shift and may perform minimal lifting tasks.
This position requires consistent attendance and punctuality due to the nature of tasks.
