The Finance Manager will support how innovation is funded, measured, and scaled\u2014while safeguarding financial discipline and trust.\n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to influence the financial strategy of R\u0026D investments, directly support innovation outcomes, and act as a trusted finance partner to business and technical leaders\u2014while maintaining strong financial stewardship for the organization.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nThis role serves as a key finance partner to CTO and R\u0026D leadership, supporting portfolio strategy, R\u0026D program economics, and long-term technology roadmaps.\n\nThe position blends forward-looking business partnership and value analysis with product line controllership, enabling informed investment decisions across early-stage research, platform development, and advanced R\u0026D programs\u2014while maintaining financial integrity, compliance, and operational rigor.\n\nPrimary Activities\n\nStrategic Business Partnering \u0026 Value Analysis\n\nAct as a lead finance partner to Program/Product Line R\u0026D leaders, supporting strategic and operational decisions.\n\nProvide financial analysis for R\u0026D portfolios and programs, including business cases, ROI analysis, scenario modeling, and funding strategies.\n\nDrive value-based decision-making across the R\u0026D lifecycle (concept, development, launch, and post-launch performance).\n\nTranslate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.\n\nSupport long-range planning, strategic roadmap development, and capital allocation decisions.\n\nR\u0026D Program Financial Management\n\nLead financial planning and analysis for R\u0026D programs, including:\n\n\u2022 Program budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis\n\n\u2022 Headcount and resource modeling\n\n\u2022 Milestone-based funding and performance tracking\n\nPartner with program managers to identify cost, schedule, and value risks, and develop mitigation strategies.\n\nEstablish and improve R\u0026D financial governance, metrics, and dashboards.\n\nFinancial Integrity\n\nEnsure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.\n\nSupport monthly close, accruals, reserves, and financial statements for the organization.\n\nEnsure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS as applicable), and internal controls (SOX).\n\nPartner with Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Audit teams on reporting, audits, and policy implementation.\n\nLeadership \u0026 Process Improvement\n\nDrive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and analytical capabilities.\n\nPromote a culture of accountability, transparency, and value creation across the organization.\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field\n\n\u2022 8\u201312 years of progressive finance experience, including:\n\n\u2013 Business partnering with technical and business leaders\n\n\u2013 FP\u0026A and value/ROI analysis\n\n\u2013 Accounting responsibility\n\n\u2022 Experience supporting R\u0026D, engineering, or innovation-driven organizations\n\n\u2022 Solid knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting standards\n\n\u2022 Proven ability to influence in a matrixed environment\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n\u2022 CPA and/or MBA\n\n\u2022 Experience in semiconductor capital equipment or similar high technology industry\n\n\u2022 Background in R\u0026D portfolio management or innovation investment governance\n\n\u2022 Experience leveraging advanced analytics or AI tools to support investment decisions\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
