About this Position: The R&D Financial Analyst
Direct Cost role engages Resource Strategy ORG, Development Team leadership and Management to establish direct cost forecast by project for ADC/NA Auto R&D.
Responsibilities include: Direct cost process owner: Define/improve the standard direct cost process and schedule.
Train and support others to execute it consistently well.
Engage Resource Strategy ORG, Development Team leadership and Management to conduct the activity for each budget event. Organize gap & process PDCA. Model Window:
Engage Development Planning ORG and Development Project Managers (PM) to clarify model contents.
Establish the long-term, resource plan for Development projects.
Engage PM to align long-term plan with D-project resource plan. Support PM for annual budget Management, plan vs actual gap analysis and reflect to overall ADC/R&D budget. Division Support:
Provide necessary info/process/tools/support to Division/Business Unit Management to strengthen budget/workload management & cost PDCA.
Support Division/Business Unit to manage their budget-cost information well.
Improve budget/workload & cost reporting at Division/Business Unit/R&D to support management decision making. Monitor status of Business Unit/Division deliverables and raise concerns to Process Owner or Division/Business Unit Management. RFQ Process owner: Collaborate with GO to manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, schedule, database.
Train and support others to follow the process well.
Engage Division/Department Management to conduct the activity as needed. Confirm documents are properly completed and maintain the official results in the designated locations.
Support process PDCA as needed. Information Management:
Manage resource information in company systems and ad-hoc tools. Analyze plan vs actual on a regular basis. Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed.
Prepare reports to be delivered to Execs. Identify gaps reasons and engage management on gap PDCA.
Who we are seeking: Required Work Experience: 4 years of work experience or equivalent work and academic experience.
Required Education: Bachelors in Business, Math, Science related area Desired Skills: High proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Excel (Datatables, formulas, Pivot table, xlookup functions) Experience with preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation Familiar with SAP, Power BI
Additional Position Factors: Travel: Average of 3 times per year or more depending on project demands/responsibilities; includes possible overseas/international travel. Work in office as required by management. Physical: Primarily works at a desk; frequent keyboarding. Hazards: Risks found in a typical office setting.
May be exposed to hazards during supplier visits. Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.
