The Roger Bacon Academy is an education management organization that manages multiple charter schools.  The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools.

Financial Assistant – Lead – Job Responsibilities

Purpose:

Work under the direction of the Director of Finance in areas including financial transactions, audits, retirement administration, student uniform sales, and tax returns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Post journal entries


• Track workflow of department


• Assist in managing 401(k) plan


• Assist in processing accounts receivables (Sage Intact), accounts payables (Bill.com), payroll (Netchex), and benefits (Employee Navigator)


• Assist in management of uniform shop


• Submit sales tax refunds

Qualifications

The Financial Assistant - Lead will have the following experience and attributes:

• Detail oriented.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.


• A minimum of an Associate’s degree; focus on accounting is desirable.


• Knowledge of general accounting principles, Microsoft Office, Intuit QuickBooks, Skype/Instant messaging, scanning, and general office practices and procedures.

• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to The Roger Bacon Academy’s mission.


• Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs. and dexterity to perform the duties & responsibilities of the job.


• Time management skills.


• Professional communication skills.
