Financial Controller

**This is an in-office position located in Murray, UT**

We are seeking a highly motivated results driven Financial Controller to join our team. The Controller is responsible for managing the Accounting Department, providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future. Directs and manages company fiscal records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and current IT trends and regulations. Essential Functions:

• Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, the consolidation of and distribution of internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits and annual budgets


• Provides strategic financial leadership and support on the evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, investments and/or other issues affecting the business


• Works to optimize the handling of bank relationships and initiates needed strategies for improvement


• Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the accounting and information technology functions


• Aligns financial policies and procedures with company objectives


• Recommends and develops policies, procedures and systems, in conjunction with the various operating groups within the company to meet company objectives


• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data and enhance the company's value

Position Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in progressing Accounting and Financial roles with 5+ years of managerial experience in an organization of at least 20 employees or 6+ years in a Big Four accounting firm or close equivalent


• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is strongly preferred


• Experience in a public accounting firm is a major plus


• Experience in a Private Equity (PE) environment


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• High proficiency in Excel and other Google Suite systems
