This role oversees all financial operations across our property portfolio, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate has at least five years of progressive experience in real estate finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage both corporate and property-level accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Financial Reporting
Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both corporate entities and individual properties.
Manage property‑level reporting, including rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, TIs, lease abstracts, and occupancy metrics.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and real estate‑specific reporting standards.
Provide financial analysis to support asset management, acquisitions, and disposition decisions.
Property & Corporate Accounting Operations
Supervise day‑to‑day accounting functions, including AP/AR, cash management, escrow accounts, and tenant billing.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting for properties, including capital expenditure planning and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate general ledger activity for multiple entities, including LLCs, partnerships, and joint ventures.
Coordinate annual audits, lender reporting, and financial packages required by investors or partners.
Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure compliance with real estate tax requirements, including property taxes, sales/use taxes, and annual filings.
Monitor loan covenants, debt service schedules, and lender compliance requirements.
Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to lease agreements and regulatory standards.
Strategic Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with property management teams to ensure accurate tenant billing, lease compliance, and operating expense tracking.
Support acquisitions by reviewing financial models, historical financials, and due diligence materials.
Provide financial insights to leadership on portfolio performance, cash flow, and investment opportunities.
Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of real estate accounting or financial management experience, ideally in commercial, residential, or mixed-use portfolios.
Strong understanding of real estate financial concepts, including CAM, NOI, cap rates, and lease structures.
Proficiency and experience in Yardi are required.
Proficiency with real estate accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience managing multiple entities and complex ownership structures.
