Based in the Greater Milwaukee area, this opening for a Controller is a permanent position. Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. This position is for candidates who can effectively manage self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, lead while also being a team player, generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo. How you will make an impact

- Meet client expectations by reviewing deliverables of self and team to make sure they meet client satisfaction

- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

- Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

- Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities

- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

- Background working with Netsuite CRM

- Practical knowledge of HealthCare Provider

- Earlier work involving UKG Pro

- Proficiency in Month-end Financial

- Demonstrated knowledge of Controllership

- Foundational knowledge in Month-end Journal Entries

- Experience with Monthly Account Reconciliation

- NetSuite experience highly preferred

- Previous experience working with ADP Financial Services

- CPA experience highly valued

- General familiarity with HealthCare Industry

- Solid understanding of month end closings

- Good understanding of ADP - Payroll

- Month-end Close Activities experience

- Adeptness in Monthly Financial Statements

- Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

- Prior work done in public accounting is desired

- Vow to meet business deadlines

- Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Excellent attention to detail

- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

- CPA or MBA preferred
