Job Title: Financial Coordinator (Bilingual)
Location: Nashville, TN
Work Schedule: Onsite 4 Days per Week, Remote 1 Day per Week
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and patient-focused Financial Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of patient care, including insurance verification, claims processing, payment plans, and patient account communications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of orthodontic billing practices, and the ability to navigate both patient-facing and insurance-facing interactions with professionalism and empathy.

This position may involve additional project work, oversight of other practices, and potential travel to support multi-location operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to consultations and treatment start dates
  • Submit insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve discrepancies or denials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, coverage limits, and industry billing codes (ADA codes)
  • Set up and manage payment plans, ensuring alignment with office policies
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and track account balances
  • Maintain detailed records of insurance correspondence and patient financial activity
  • Work closely with the treatment coordinator, front desk, and office manager to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle confidential patient financial information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Respond to patient and insurance inquiries by phone or electronically

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in dental or orthodontic billing and insurance coordination preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes, including PPO plans and orthodontic benefits
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with practice management software and insurance claim tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
