Join us—and experience what it means to truly love what you do.The Education and Development team plays a pivotal role in driving the Credit Union's growth and engagement strategies by executing targeted business development, marketing, and financial education initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in consultative sales, relationship management, and business development, with an ability to forge long-term strategic partnerships within our sponsor organization, The Walt Disney Company. This role will contribute to the Credit Union’s strategic objectives by promoting financial well-being through engaging events, workshops, and personalized member interactions.
Essential Responsibilities:- Represent the Credit Union at Sponsor and Community Events by managing logistics and execution of partner-sponsored events.
- Lead and represent the Credit Union at signature Disney events to promote services and drive membership growth.
- Collaborate with internal departments to design and deliver tailored financial education events and workshops.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key sponsor and community contacts.
- Track member interactions and leads using CRM tools and conduct timely follow-ups.
- Facilitate financial workshops on topics such as wealth-building and home buying.
- Conduct one-on-one financial counseling sessions (in-person and virtual).
- Engage new hires during orientations to promote Credit Union membership and benefits.
- Track and report business development metrics within 24 hours of event execution.
- Ensure brand consistency in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Educate members on products and digital tools while identifying needs via consultative sales.
- Manage and refer leads to appropriate teams within 24-48 hours post-events.
- Coordinate marketing material updates and requests in advance of activations.
Additional Responsibilities:Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Credit Union’s business development and member education initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSMinimum Education Required to Perform Job:High School or GED (Required); Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Minimum Years of Relevant Work Experience Required to Perform Job Upon Hire: 3 to 5 years
Specific Experience Required:- Demonstrated experience in sales or relationship management.
- Proven experience in business development, event facilitation, or financial counseling.
Certifications or Licenses Required: Must have Financial Counselor Certification (or must obtain as part of the role)
Other Training, Technical Skills, or Knowledge Required:Proficiency in Microsoft Platforms (Required); Data Analysis tools like Excel/SharePoint (Preferred); Familiarity with virtual platforms like Teams (Preferred)
Other Measurable Abilities Required:- Strong networking, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Shift Work: May include nights and weekends depending on events.

- Stand for extended periods of time at indoor/outdoor events.
- Lift up to 25 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally.

The hiring range for this position in California is $68,640 to $96,240 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
