Location: National Capital Region, with potential
on-site work at the Pentagon or other Government facilities (15% on-site, 85%
remote)

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Financial Operations Analysts at
varying levels (Senior, Journeyman, and Junior) to join our team. The ideal
candidates will have experience in Navy Financial Management (FM) and an
understanding of how Navy FM operations impact financial statement audits.
Additionally, knowledge and experience with SAP S/4HANA will be a crucial asset
as it plays a significant role in optimizing financial processes, reporting,
and integration within ERP systems. As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will
work closely with clients to provide financial analysis, budgeting, and
operational support, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA integration in the
federal government context.
Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs
professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with
strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate
with stakeholders to support financial operations projects, from budgeting
and financial analysis to reporting and compliance, with a strong emphasis
on SAP S/4HANA and Navy FM processes.
- Engage
in tasks related to financial data analysis, forecasting, and performance
optimization, particularly in the context of SAP S/4HANA and Navy
financial statement audits.
- Participate
in the design and implementation of financial processes and systems that
contribute to overall business objectives, ensuring alignment with Navy FM
requirements and SAP S/4HANA integration.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities (Applicable to All Levels):
- Analyze
Navy-specific financial data, processes, and requirements to provide
insights and recommendations for improved financial performance, including
SAP S/4HANA integration, audit readiness, and compliance.
- Support
financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities while ensuring
alignment with Navy FM goals, SAP S/4HANA standards, and compliance with
government regulations.
- Coordinate
with clients to understand Navy FM and SAP S/4HANA requirements, providing
solutions that support overall strategies, including financial statement
audits.
Level-Specific Responsibilities:
- Senior
Level (Financial Ops Senior Analyst):
- Lead
complex financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting activities, with an
emphasis on Navy FM operations and SAP S/4HANA integration's impact on
financial audits.
- Provide
advanced financial expertise and strategic guidance to support
decision-making and financial planning processes, especially in Navy FM
and SAP S/4HANA contexts.
- Mentor
and guide junior team members, providing training and support to enhance
their skills in SAP S/4HANA-related financial analysis.
- Engage
with high-level stakeholders to present insights, forecasts, and
recommendations related to Navy FM and SAP S/4HANA.
- JourneyMan
Level (Financial Ops JourneyMan Analyst):
- Conduct
intermediate-level financial analysis supporting Navy FM and SAP
S/4HANA-related budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Assist
in gathering and analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and
providing actionable insights related to Navy financial statement audits
and SAP S/4HANA.
- Collaborate
with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and
decision-making within the Navy FM and SAP S/4HANA framework.
- Junior
Level (Financial Ops Junior Analyst):
- Provide
support for financial analysis tasks, including data entry, report
preparation, and basic budgeting activities, with exposure to SAP S/4HANA
integration.
- Assist
senior team members in gathering financial data, preparing reports, and
analyzing trends related to SAP S/4HANA implementation and Navy FM.
- Learn
and adapt to financial systems and processes, including SAP S/4HANA, to
support overall financial operations.
Qualifications
Financial Ops Senior Analyst Qualifications:
- Experience:
Minimum six (6) years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or
related financial operations, with direct experience in Navy Financial
Management highly preferred.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
(Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
requirement).
- Skills:
- Proven
expertise in Navy FM financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and SAP
S/4HANA integration.
- Advanced
knowledge of Navy financial regulations, standards, and compliance
requirements, particularly as they relate to financial statement audits
and SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong
leadership skills with experience mentoring and leading financial teams.
Financial Ops JourneyMan Analyst Qualifications:
- Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or
related financial operations, including SAP S/4HANA.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
(Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
requirement).
- Skills:
- Intermediate
understanding of Navy FM and SAP S/4HANA processes, analysis, budgeting,
and reporting.
- Ability
to gather and analyze financial data, providing insights and
recommendations, especially concerning SAP S/4HANA and Navy FM audits.
- Effective
communication and documentation skills.
Financial Ops Junior Analyst Qualifications:
- Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in financial analysis,
budgeting, or related financial operations, ideally including Navy FM exposure.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
(Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree
requirement).
- Skills:
- Basic
understanding of financial processes, data entry, and analysis techniques
ideally including some exposure to Navy Financial Management
- Willingness
to learn and adapt to new financial systems and reporting
tools.
- Ability
to support senior staff in documentation, report preparation, and
financial analysis..
