Financial Planning Business Partner

Concept2, a global market leader in the manufacture of fitness ergometers and composite racing oars, is seeking a Financial Planning Business Partner with a comprehensive understanding of financial planning and analysis to join our team in Morrisville, VT. This role will focus on collaborating with various internal teams to support the development and monitoring of budgets, translating actual financial results into information used to support operational decision making. The responsibilities for this role may grow over time to include assisting with high visibility project financial reporting, participating in the consolidation process, and developing additional management reporting skills, depending on the candidate’s interests.  

Primary responsibilities:

• Develop strong working relationships with Concept2 teams, including marketing, purchasing, and research & development, etc. 


• Assist with the development and implementation of a bottom-up budgeting process.


• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare financial analyses
  through understanding cause-and-effect relationships.  


• Perform analyses that require data gathering and extraction from various sources. 


• Present quarterly budget reporting to each team. 


• Address ad hoc financial data mining and analysis requests from
  colleagues. 


• Assist with other project responsibilities as needed. 


• Assist with operational accounting tasks as needed. 
  

Required Qualifications and Key Competencies: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  


• 3-5 years of finance business partner/financial analysis experience. 


• Experience structuring financial models. 


• Emerging ability to give recommendations to teams related to financial aspects of decisions. 


• Highly organized with attention to detail and analytical mindset. 


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. 


• Integrity, respect, and empathy for others, along with the ability to work as a member of a small team and with other functional departments in a collaborative work environment.
  


• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A., now and in the future. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  

Compensation for this position consists of a salary range of $80,000-$95,000, depending on experience, plus participation in a quarterly variable wage program that is based on company and employee performance, which adds significantly to total compensation.
