Job Description - Finished Good/Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Finished Goods/Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory of finished goods within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures proper storage, tracking, and distribution of products while minimizing discrepancies and optimizing inventory accuracy. You will collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure seamless inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory, including stock levels, locations, and transactions.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overages, ensuring efficient stock rotation.
  • Work closely with production teams to verify finished goods availability and readiness for shipment.
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Utilize inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) to track stock movements and generate reports.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to management.
  • Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Forklift experience required.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing facility setting with exposure to warehouse and production areas.
  • May require lifting/moving heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on production demands.

📍 Where We Hire
Central Moloney is currently authorized to employ individuals (remote or on-site) only in the following states: Arkansas (AR), Florida (FL), Kansas (KS), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), and Wisconsin (WI).  We are set up to operate as an employer in these states only, which means we have established the necessary payroll, tax, and compliance requirements there. Candidates must physically reside in one of these states to be eligible for employment.
