We have an opening for an experienced Finishing Specialist at our Upholstery Manufacturing facility in Archdale, NC.

Qualifications & Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to read production tickets and any special instructions
• Antique leather for fine upholstery and other Stickley products
• Maintain quality and consistency standards for antiqued products
• Assist department leader with developing color mixes for new and existing products
• Work on special finishes for new market introductions and existing products as needed
• Work closely with other employees in the department to train on new antiquing practices
• Must be able to work in all areas of finishing department including spraying, glazing, dirty brushing, sealing, lacquering, and repair
• Knowledge of rubbing process including use of compound and buffing out for high sheen
• Ability to use tools and chemicals including but not limited to brushes, oil rags, spray gun, block/paper sander, distressing tools, putty, epoxy, burn-in
• Work with department leader on material procurement to ensure ample materials are stocked on-hand and available
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and procedures including but not limited to chemical labeling, flammable storage, bonding & grounding, etc.
