Finishing Supervisor

Supervise, Finish, Deliver — Excellence in Every Label

The Finishing Supervisor oversees daily operations within the finishing department of a label manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising personnel, ensuring product quality, meeting production schedules, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Finishing Supervisor coordinates with prepress, printing, and shipping teams to ensure labels are finished accurately and on time, in accordance with customer specifications.

Your tasks

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of finishing operators, including slitting, rewinding, die cutting, sheeting, inspection, and packaging


• Assign work based on production schedules, staffing levels, and priorities


• Ensure finished labels meet quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements


• Monitor production efficiency, scrap rates, and downtime; implement corrective actions as needed


• Train, coach, and develop finishing department employees


• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards


• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repairs


• Verify accurate completion of production documentation and system entries


• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Printing, and Shipping departments


• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization


• Participate in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and scheduling


• Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations

Your profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing education preferred


• 3–5 years of experience in label manufacturing, printing, or converting


• Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred


• Strong knowledge of finishing equipment and processes (die cutters, rewinders, slitters, inspection systems)


• Understanding of quality standards, tolerances, and customer specifications


• Ability to read job tickets, production schedules, and technical documentation


• Proficiency with production tracking systems and basic computer applications
