Your Role: We’re seeking skilled Fire Alarm Technicians to lead and support low-voltage construction projects and service calls. As a technician at State Fire, you’ll manage critical tasks, maintain safety, and ensure project excellence in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas.
What You’ll Do:
Complete daily safety documentation: risk assessments, vehicle inspections, and job site safety checks.
Handle maintenance and emergency service calls efficiently.
Travel as needed to meet project demands.
Install and service fire alarms, clean agent systems, and other safety equipment.
Lead teams, including subcontractors, ensuring timely project completion.
Build strong relationships with customers, project managers, and property managers.
Coordinate schedules, materials, and labor with vendors and the office team.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Certifications: NICET Level 1 or higher preferred.
Experience: 2+ years in the low-voltage field required, fire alarm specific preferred.
Skills:
Blueprint reading and job documentation proficiency.
Installation, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of various fire alarm system brands and components.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in hand tools and trade-specific equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces.
Able to lift up to 70 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
Valid driver’s license.
