Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Fire Protection Engineer to work in our Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality department. Our team works onsite with a 4x10 work schedule located at the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) facility with every Friday off.
You will report to the MFC Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) Manager and will develop Fire Hazard Analysis for nuclear facilities, participate in design reviews for new facilities and facility modifications, review work control documents that require advanced Fire Protection solutions, and provide fire protection support and expertise to MFC as the Fire Protection Engineer.

While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in office, industrial, construction, and laboratory environments. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
