Location: Houston, TX Job Type: Full-Time
State Fire is a growing leader in fire protection, providing expert installation and service of fire sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems, and security solutions across the United States. We're looking for a licensed Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our growing Houston team. What You’ll Do:
Perform scheduled inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA and local codes
Test system components including alarms, water flow, and pressure
Inspect piping, sprinkler heads, valves, and related components
Document inspection findings and communicate any deficiencies
Complete light maintenance and minor repairs as needed
Travel within the region, including some overnight stays
Requirements
What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current Texas RME-I license
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Basic computer skills and strong written/verbal communication
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of inspection experience
NICET certification
Familiarity with NFPA codes, OSHA/MSHA safety standards, and local regulations
Additional licenses such as FAL, BPAT, FEL-B, FEL-K, or FEL-A are a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted
Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
Ability to work in tight spaces and all weather conditions
Able to sit, stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
