Job Description - Fire Sprinkler Service Technician
Description
Firetron is seeking a seasoned/experienced/reliable commercial fire sprinkler technician with a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
Ability to perform repairs from information on deficiency list and call-in basis.
Participation in on call rotation.
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.
Awareness of applicable regulatory codes per County, State and Federal Fire codes.
Requirements
Experience with power machine, threader and other essential tools
Ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a focused work environment and maintain high levels of efficiency without direct supervision.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
Minimum three years of field experience performing service and repairs to sprinkler systems of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pump
Must have the ability to be able to walk into a live building with thousands of occupants and handle work without incident.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
