Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Superintendent to oversee field operations on fire protection projects, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity. This role is hands-on and crucial in leading and coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, and serving as the key field liaison between the office and job site. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep field knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality fire sprinkler installations.

Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate all field activities related to fire sprinkler system installations.

· Lead, schedule, and manage field crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and per code.

· Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide installation activities.

· Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and company standards.

· Conduct on-site inspections to monitor workmanship and resolve issues as needed.

· Collaborate closely with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and solve problems.

· Maintain project schedules and report progress and field conditions to management.

· Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained.

· Enforce company safety protocols and OSHA compliance on job sites.

· Train and mentor field personnel and apprentices.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:

· Strong leadership and team management abilities.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· High attention to detail and quality control.

· Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

· Ability to coordinate multiple crews and tasks simultaneously.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· 5+ years of field experience in fire sprinkler installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

· In-depth understanding of NFPA standards, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

· Familiarity with various pipe materials, installation techniques, and hydraulic systems.

· Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in fire sprinkler installations.

· Ability to use or learn digital field reporting tools and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, iPads/tablets).

· OSHA 30 certification preferred.

· NICET certification a plus but not required.

· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Work Environment:

· Field-based role with daily job site visits.

· Exposure to construction environments, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.

· May require travel between job sites.
