Job Title: Fire Suppression System Technician
Type of Job: Full-time Position
Location: USDA, Agricultural Research Service Southeast Poultry Research Lab (SEPRL), 934 College Station Road, Athens, Georgia
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Excluding federal holidays 

Duties:

• Perform comprehensive testing and certification of all fire suppression equipment.
• Conduct quarterly inspections of all fire suppression systems installed on the premises to ensure ongoing functionality and full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Complete hydrant testing to verify functionality and accessibility during emergencies and backflow inspections as necessary.

• Certification as a Fire Alarm Technician or Fire Protection Specialist preferred.
• Prior experience conducting inspections and testing of fire suppression systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings and recommendations.
