POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Consultant in Firearms is responsible for greeting customers, building the sale, following up and closing the sale. They are required to have training and a comprehensive understanding of the 4473. With their updated product knowledge and market savvy, they are able to educate clients of all levels. They should be able to sell all areas including membership, products and range services.  Evenings and/or weekend availability is crucial for this position.

5. Stock and face inventory, while keeping loss prevention at the forefront

1. Follow all billing and point of sale procedures
2. Keep floor, club and range clean, safe and stocked
3. Address safety issues swiftly and immediately
4. Understand firearms, products, and all services offered
5. Place clients on the range within designated guidelines

Relationships

1. Establish and ensure collaborative, supporting relationships within the entire organization. 
2. Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ KEY COMPETENCIES

• Must have a complete understanding of all ATF regulations pertaining to the sale and transfer of firearms and NFA items
• Must have comprehensive firearms knowledge
• Able to educate persons of all levels of experience in firearms
• Be able to function as a Range Safety Officer as assigned
• Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time on the sales floor

Requirements

EDUCATION

High school diploma is preferred 

EXPERIENCE

Former firearms retail experience, sales and/or retail experience
