ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Directs the planning and implementation of all FireFly programs.
· Selects the most cost-effective camp sites for delivery of programs.
· Review and implement goals of participant’s ISP’s and train staff accordingly.
· Plans and coordinates activities with venue personnel, CLASS facility personnel, to ensure the facility can accommodate all needs of the participants.
· Ensure programming is goal directed with specific program outcomes as outlined in ISP and grant funded outcomes.
· Request authorizations of units for camp and retreat participation and attend participants ISP meetings as required.
· Gather data relevant to these outcome measures and analyze success and areas of improvement in programming for participants and grantees.
· Completes pre-screening and assessments of new participants to ensure the development of individualized programming for their unique needs.
· Develops, updates and implements policies and procedures necessary to operate camps and retreats on an efficient basis.
· Develops and delivers training of all camp and retreat counselors to meet funding and agency training requirements.
· Maintain files and ensure progress notes are completed for each participant to justify billing, especially waiver participants.
· Track billing units and submit to fiscal department.
· Ensure proper training for camp counselors is completed, documented filed (medication management, lifting and transferring, first aid, etc.)
· Recruit new youth and adult campers for both camps and retreats.
· Secure contracts with vendors to obtain assistive/durable medical technology based on participants’ needs.
· Participate/coordinate with HR on the hiring and training of new camp counselors necessary to meet ratio and individual care needs.
· Approve timesheets of all program staff for camps and retreats.
· Report and oversee incident management as required by funding and agency policy.
· Supports Development Department with managing all aspects of funding requests and helping to identify new sources of funding.
· Develop and implement a monitoring process to ensure program stays on budget.
· Assist with all aspects of program delivery including personal care of participants.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Recreation, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in program or camp management, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
· Prior supervisory experience with staff and/or volunteers.
· CPR, First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to camp season).
· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel as required.
· Ability to pass background checks and clearances as required by state and funders.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related administrative tools.

· Check and respond in detail to all correspondence in a timely manner.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Work is performed in indoor and outdoor camp settings, including cabins, recreational areas, dining halls, and natural environments.
· Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold) during camp sessions.
· Regular requirement to walk, stand, bend, stoop, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 pounds.
· Ability to actively participate in camp activities, which may include hiking, swimming supervision, sports, and outdoor events.
· May require extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays during camp sessions.
· Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations and provide physical support to campers if needed.
· Ability to see and interact with text and graphical information on a screen.
· Sit for extended periods with prolonged exposure to computer monitors.
· Operate input/output devices to control a computer
· Ability to receive and respond to phone calls.
· Regularly work in a climate-controlled office environment or another approved location.
