Perry's Fireplace & Stoves is a locally owned business specializing in fireplace and hearth installations. We also provide cleaning and service for existing fireplaces and stoves. Our goal is to deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for every customer.
Position: Fireplace Installer
We’re seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team full-time (part-time opportunities may be available for the right candidate). As a Fireplace Installer, you’ll work directly in our customers’ homes, completing installations and maintenance with professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Install gas, wood-burning, and electric fireplaces, stoves, and inserts
- Build framing, bases, and other structural components as needed
- Install fireplace doors, screens, and glass
- Fabricate and customize components to meet specific design needs
- Estimate materials accurately for each project
- Inspect finished installations for safety compliance and quality
- Maintain clean, organized job sites
- Provide clear, respectful communication with customers and team members
Requirements
Physical ability – Must be able to stand, kneel, work in tight spaces, climb ladders/rooftops, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Technical skills – Comfortable with manuals, tools, and machinery. Previous trade or carpentry experience (framing/finish) is preferred.
Problem-solving – Able to work independently after training, with creativity and resourcefulness in tackling challenges.
Communication – Willing to explain work clearly to customers and collaborate effectively with the team.
Teamwork – As part of a small business, success depends on cooperation, respect, and reliable communication.
Qualifications
- Construction background with finishing techniques preferred
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to fabricate and adapt components as needed
- Strong attention to detail and safety standards
- Effective communication with both clients and coworkers
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience; from $20/hr for qualified applicants)
- Job Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
