Elite Fireplace and Dryer Vent Services is a fast-growing, small local business who helps keep our communities safe through the services we provide. We clean, inspect and service wood-burning and gas fireplaces as well as clean & service dryer vents. We also repair masonry and gas fireplaces and chimneys. As a small business we aim to set the highest working conditions and standards for all our employees.

Title: Fireplace Repair Apprentice
Location: Sacramento, CA
Status: Full-Time Employment
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $18.00 – 21.00, depending on experience, with room to grow
Company Vehicle: Employees start and end their day at the office where they will pick up a company vehicle

About the position:
We are seeking a motivated Fireplace Repair Apprentice who is ready to learn the trade and grow into a leadership position. This is a hands-on role with an initial 6–8 month structured training program where you will work closely with experienced technicians to master the repair, rebuild, and diagnostic aspects of the job.

After successfully completing training, you will advance to a Lead Repair Technician role, taking ownership of repair projects and mentoring newer team members. From there, you will have the opportunity to transition into a Lead Sales Technician role — combining your technical expertise with customer consultations to provide repair recommendations, upgrades, and sales solutions.

Responsibilities:

Perform masonry fireplace repairs (tuckpointing, brick replacement, mortar work, demo, and rebuilds).
Diagnose and repair gas fireplace systems.
Install and replace fireplace inserts and components.
Conduct safety-related structural repairs to chimneys and fireplaces.
Repair and replace dryer vent exhaust systems.
Assist in complex troubleshooting and problem-solving on repair jobs.
Maintain professionalism and quality craftsmanship on every project.

Skills and Experience:

Experience with hand and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
High school diploma or GED.
Clean driving record.
Able to pass background check and drug screening.
Physically able to lift 80–100 lbs.
Comfortable working on one- and two-story roofs.
Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
