Job Description - Fitness Coach/Trainer



Job Summary


The Fitness Coach at Anytime Fitness is a passionate, energetic professional who delivers high-quality training experiences to members. This includes 1-on-1 coaching, small group training, fitness consultations, and ongoing accountability. The coach serves as a mentor, motivator, and accountability partner—helping members find the best version of themselves.


Key Responsibilities


Coaching & Training




  • Conduct personalized 1-on-1 and small group training sessions




  • Lead dynamic, engaging small group training for up to 4 members




  • Deliver comprehensive fitness consultations using the Evolt Scanner




  • Guide members in training, nutrition, and accountability strategies




Member Engagement & Retention




  • Build genuine relationships and track member progress




  • Provide ongoing communication and support outside of sessions




  • Be visible and accessible on the training floor




  • Help new members integrate into the coaching program




Sales & Program Growth




  • Help convert prospects into coaching clients by explaining training value




  • Support onboarding of new members with fitness consultations booked at POS




  • Assist with lead follow-up, referrals, and community events when needed




  • Track session usage, renewals, and member milestones




Teamwork & Culture




  • Collaborate with Club Lead and fellow coaches to improve member outcomes




  • Attend staff meetings, training huddles, and participate in continuing education




  • Support and uphold club cleanliness, safety, and Anytime Fitness standards




Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)




  • Number of training sessions delivered weekly




  • FC show and conversion rate to training packages




  • Client retention and renewal percentage




  • Coaching referrals and member feedback




  • Participation in team events and initiatives




Qualifications




  • Nationally accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)




  • CPR/AED Certified (or willing to obtain)




  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills




  • Coaching experience preferred (1-on-1 or small group)




  • Passion for fitness and helping others succeed
