Fitness Specialist

The CoreLife Fitness Specialist position is an essential role within the care model, tasked with creating an immersive and energetic environment to increase the use of “movement” as a treatment tool.

We are looking for a Fitness Specialist to join our Thomaville Clinic, NC office Mon-Thurs (10-hr workday), off on Fridays, and will primarily:

• Discuss and remove any barriers, in addition to facilitating positive exercise experiences. Patients enter the CoreLife program apprehensive about beginning an exercise routine.
• Develop and implement movement plans to help reduce pain, better perform daily activities for patients, and execute tailored fitness programs using corrective and functional exercise practices.
• Perform one-on-one and small-group exercises.
• Work with a collaborative team of clinicians, registered dietitians, and behavioral health specialists. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise related field (preferred)
• Certification in Personal Training from nationally  recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM)  (must be active)
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Previous experience with group fitness instruction is a plus but not necessary.
