Job Description - Fixed Assets Accountant

Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant
Location: Duluth, GA
Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000
Hybrid - (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to join our growing team in Duluth, GA. Our client is looking for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a strong background in managing fixed assets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate asset records, depreciation schedules, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the fixed asset subledger, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.
Calculate and record monthly depreciation, including review of asset lives and salvage values.
Reconcile fixed asset balances to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Assist with annual physical inventory and tagging of fixed assets.
Support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable GAAP standards.
Partner with operations and procurement to track capital expenditures and project progress.
Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the fixed asset function.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is a plus).
