Tasks & Activities:

Custom Job Purpose:
The Technology Scrum Master will drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our Tech Services team. Starting with the implementation of Kanban to prioritize and manage tasks, ensuring all projects reach full completion. Over time, the role will expand to include Engineering and Programming teams, fostering a cohesive and agile work environment across departments. A key objective of this role is to improve reaction times for our Field Operations, Licensing team, and licensees worldwide, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and accuracy in our practices. Once the Kanban and Scrum frameworks are executing effectively, the candidate will also introduce Lean methodologies to enhance overall efficiency in time management and cost reduction.

Tasks: Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel.
Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI).
Identify need for initial or supplemental project resources.
Perform risk assessments to develop response strategies.
Identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet project needs.
Kanban Implementation:
Introduce and manage the Kanban process for the Tech Services team. Prioritize and organize tasks to ensure timely and efficient project completion. Monitor and optimize workflow, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.

Scrum Master Duties:
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure the team adheres to Scrum practices and principles. Act as a servant leader, removing obstacles and enabling team success.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Extend agile practices to Engineering and Programming teams. Foster a collaborative and communicative environment between Tech Services, Engineering, and Programming. Support the teams in delivering high-quality products and services.

Continuous Improvement:
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Provide training and mentorship to team members on agile methodologies. Implement metrics and KPIs to measure and enhance team performance.

Operational Efficiency:
Improve reaction times for Field Operations and the Licensing team. Ensure adherence to SLAs and accuracy in practices. Enhance communication and responsiveness to licensees nationwide.

Lean Methodologies:
Once Kanban and Scrum frameworks are established, introduce Lean principles. Focus on improving efficiency in time management and reducing costs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

Work Context:

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:

Skills & Knowledge:

Qualification: Years of Experience: 1+
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Degree or Formal Training: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification.
Additional Information: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (preferred)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification.
Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within tech services. (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of Kanban, Scrum, and Lean methodologies.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in Tech Services, Engineering, or Programming is a plus.
