Speedy Glass is Hiring for a Flat Glass Manager to operate out of our Tacoma, WA Location! This position will receive competitive salary, comprehensive benefits as well as a company car.

The Flat Glass Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the residential flat glass division, including scheduling, installation, quality control, and customer satisfaction. This position ensures that all residential glass projects—including window replacements, shower enclosures, mirrors, and light commercial glazing—are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines technical expertise with strong organizational and customer service skills.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday
Pay: Competitive pay range of $80,000 - $85,000 Annual DOE 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the residential glass department, ensuring efficient scheduling, job coordination, and timely project completion.


• Supervise, train, and mentor installation technicians and customer service personnel to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.


• Prepare and review cost estimates and project quotes for residential and small commercial glass work.


• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication, accurate job execution, and responsive service follow-up.


• Inspect completed installations for accuracy, craftsmanship, and compliance with company and industry standards (e.g., NGA, ANSI).


• Manage light commercial projects such as storefronts, interior partitions, and entry systems.


• Oversee glass inventory, materials ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.


• Ensure all operations comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.


• Monitor department financial performance, including labor costs, material usage, and overall profitability.


• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and quality control.

Qualifications
Experience:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in residential flat glass or glazing operations.


• Minimum of 1–2 years in a supervisory or management capacity preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of residential glazing systems, including insulated glass units, mirrors, and shower enclosures.


• Familiarity with light commercial glazing applications such as storefront systems and door assemblies.


• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.


• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in scheduling, estimating, and project management software.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.


• Associate degree or technical training in construction management, glazing, or related field preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license required.


• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
