Job Description - Fleet Director

Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department operations, improve efficiency, and maintain high fleet condition standards and uptime.

Supervise and provide leadership to the service team, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.

Establish and maintain service quality standards, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Monitor service metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement to achieve service excellence.

Work with the field operations manager regarding oversight of the day-to-day fleet operations across all locations, ensuring effective response times on queries and maintaining consistency with company standards and objectives.

Collaborate with the management team to develop operational plans, budgets, and goals for each market.

Conduct regular performance evaluations of the locations and implement corrective measures as needed.

Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments, such as field operations, sales, and customer service.

Monitor and control expenses related to service operations, including parts, labor, and equipment costs.

Analyze financial reports, key performance indicators, and market trends to identify areas for increased profitability.

Implement cost-effective measures and process improvements through technology solutions and otherwise to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality.

Ensure exceptional service and satisfaction by resolving escalated fleet concerns and issues.

Foster positive relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and maintaining long-term partnerships.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience in service management, fleet logistics management, or fleet/technician dispatch management.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Demonstrated experience in optimizing operations, improving efficiency, and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving profitability and business growth.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.

Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications related to service management and operations.

Additional Information
This position will require travel, approximately 25% of the time, to our company’s locations across Florida. Travel may be required to oversee operations, conduct site visits, and provide support to various locations as needed.
