  • Maintain compliance with DOT, Federal Motor Carrier regulations, and fleet safety standards.

  • Manage dispatch communications between crews, shop, and field leadership.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team on repair needs to minimize downtime.

  • Review and enter teamster hours into payroll systems (Viewpoint).

  • Support project continuity by resolving scheduling conflicts and logistical challenges quickly.

  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience dispatching for a heavy highway, construction, or equipment-based company.

  • Strong understanding of IDOT, Oxcart, county, and local permitting systems for oversize/overweight loads.

  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, including GVW, height, and weight limitations.

  • Familiarity with construction equipment, heavy trucks, and lowboy transport.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Effective multitasking and time management skills.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Viewpoint and HCSS software.

  • Understanding of Teamsters seniority rules.

  • Knowledge of hazmat transport and placarding requirements.

  • Technical familiarity with hydraulics, diesel/gas machinery, and onboard systems.

Key Competencies:

  • Problem Solving: Ability to manage schedule changes and resolve conflicts under pressure.

  • Communication: Daily coordination with internal teams and occasional contact with vendors and clients.
