Job Description - Fleet Field Support Specialist

As a Field Support Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines ensuring safety, keeping our operations running smoothly, and representing our brand to the public at high-traffic customer locations. You’ll be the calm in the storm when challenges arise—supporting in-field vehicle recovery, communicating with precision, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

We’re looking for tech-savvy, customer-focused problem solvers with sharp attention to detail, excellent hand–eye coordination, and a “whatever-it-takes” mindset to get the job done safely.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate in fast-paced, customer-facing environments in the field.
  • Drive auxiliary (non-autonomous) vehicles from base to pick-up/drop-off (PUDO) sites.
  • Use hand-held input devices to operate robots with precision.
  • Execute terminal commands to flash firmware on hardware components.
  • Support testing and data collection to improve processes, tools, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide live assistance to RiderOps and escalate issues.
  • Become a go-to expert on RiderOps tools, using them to resolve real-time customer needs.
  • Maintain a safety-first culture while fostering open, inclusive communication.

What You Bring

  • Experience with:
    • Computer terminal commands.
    • Using physical controls (e.g., hand-held devices) to remotely operate equipment or robots.
    • Working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Skills & Qualities:
    • Strong computer proficiency and problem-solving ability.
    • Clear, concise communication—both verbal and written.
    • Ability to adapt quickly in changing, sometimes ambiguous environments.
    • Proactive and resourceful approach to challenges.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various locations.
    • Positive attitude and commitment to safety.

Required Gear: Safety boots (slip-resistant, safety toe, puncture-resistant sole).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Troubleshooting skills for apps and operational tools.
  • Experience managing high-stress situations, including de-escalation techniques.

Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Shifts: Sunday – Tuesday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM or Wednesday - Saturday, 5:00 pm - 2:00 am
