to provide Vehicle Maintenance support at the Mississippi
Air National Guard (MSANG) Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) in Gulfport,
Mississippi.

So, what will the Fleet Maintenance Technician at
Terrestris do?

The Fleet Maintenance Technician will provide vehicle
maintenance support services at the Mississippi Air National Guard (MSANG)
Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) in Gulfport, Mississippi. This position
is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and reliability
of a diverse fleet of military, emergency response, and support vehicles. Technicians will perform scheduled and unscheduled
maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with U.S. Air
Force, Air National Guard, and manufacturer technical manuals, policies, and
safety standards. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing engines,
drivetrains, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, and other critical vehicle
components. The Fleet Maintenance Technician will maintain accurate
maintenance and service documentation, adhere to all contract performance
requirements, and support the mission of the MSANG by ensuring vehicles and
equipment remain fully mission capable. This role requires strict attention to
detail, adherence to regulatory compliance, and a commitment to supporting
military readiness.

What does a typical day look like for a Fleet
Maintenance Technician?

You will:·


  • Perform
    scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on
    a wide range of military, emergency response, and support vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot
    and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, drivetrain, and brake system
    issues in accordance with manufacturer and U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard
    technical manuals.
  • Conduct
    preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles remain mission-ready, safe, and
    reliable.
  • Maintain
    accurate and complete maintenance records, work orders, and service logs as
    required by contract and Air National Guard standards.
  • Ensure
    compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while
    performing maintenance operations.
  • Operate
    diagnostic equipment, tools, and specialized test devices in support of vehicle
    repairs and service.
  • Collaborate
    with supervisors, technicians, and MSANG personnel to prioritize maintenance
    tasks and meet mission requirements.
  • Assist in
    managing parts, supplies, and inventory necessary to support fleet operations.
  • Respond to
    emergency or mission-critical vehicle service requests in a timely and
    professional manner.
  • Support the
    mission of the MSANG CRTC by ensuring all vehicles always remain operational
    and mission capable.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:

  • Authorization to permanently work in the United
    States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable
    background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    technical school or formal automotive/diesel training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in vehicle
    maintenance, repair, and diagnostics; experience with military, emergency
    response, or heavy-duty vehicles strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and alternative
    fuel engines; drivetrains; electrical systems; hydraulic systems; and
    brake/steering systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical
    manuals, schematics, and maintenance instructions.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, computerized
    maintenance systems, and repair equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
    required.
  • ASE certifications in medium/heavy truck repair
    (T Series)
  • NFPA EVT Level II certification for advanced
    maintenance and repair of fire apparatus and emergency vehicles.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform duties in
    varying environments, including outdoor and field conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational
    skills, and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part
    of a team to support mission readiness requirements.
