Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, utilization, and performance of the company’s transport fleet. The role ensures efficient fleet management, compliance with transport and safety regulations, cost optimization, and alignment of fleet operations with business and customer service objectives. The position also plays a strategic role in improving fleet efficiency, reducing downtime, enhancing driver performance, and supporting operational excellence across the business.

• Manage daily fleet operations, vehicle allocation, and dispatch activities
  


• Monitor fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and transport performance
  


• Coordinate preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance with the workshop team
  


• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  


• Oversee driver scheduling, discipline, and performance management
  


• Monitor GPS tracking systems and fleet movement
  


• Handle accident reporting, investigations, and insurance processes
  


• Control fleet operational costs including fuel, maintenance, and repairs
  


• Maintain fleet records including licenses, permits, and insurance documentation
  


• Prepare operational and fleet performance reports for management
  


• Work closely with Operations and Finance on budgeting and planning
  


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  


• Minimum 3–5 years of fleet or transport management experience
  


• Strong knowledge of logistics and transport operations
  


• Experience managing commercial vehicle fleets and drivers
  


• Good understanding of transport regulations and road safety compliance
  


• Experience in fleet cost control, fuel management, and reporting
  


• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  


• Experience using fleet management systems and GPS tracking tools is an advantage
  


• High level of professionalism, accountability, and operational awareness
