The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. Description of Work
The Fleet Manager role supports the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections by overseeing the operational, fiscal, and logistical management of the department’s vehicle fleet, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective transportation services. Operating within the Transportation Section of Support Services, the position manages daily fleet operations, leads supervisory responsibilities for staff and assigned offender workers, and coordinates with division Fleet Coordinators to meet agency-wide transportation needs in a structured and compliance‑driven environment.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.00

Veterans’ and National Guard Preference
