Fleet Manager - Charlotte, NC

Great Lakes Petroleum is seeking a Fleet Manager to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of our Fleet. The Fleet Manager will lead and manage the Fleet program for all facilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, and policies as well as other legal regulations (DOT, OSHA, DOL)
• Responsible for the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fuel trucks and other support vehicles to ensure operational efficiency
• Involved in strategic planning including the management of the department’s budget
• Reviews/processes purchase requisitions for parts and supplies; reviews vendor bid responses for tools, equipment, parts, and services
• Ensures all contractual requirements are achieved
• Assists in the recruitment of qualified Mechanics and Drivers
• Demonstrates a self-directed approach to completing work duties
• Keeps vehicle licensure and registration up to date
• Conducts reviews of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations

• Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects, and assignments
• Frequent overnight travel is expected
