Ostlund A Service Company is a multi-state plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and facility services contractor serving Michigan, Ohio and Indiana for over 65 years. We are seeking a reliable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our service vehicles and equipment in Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections (oil changes, brakes, tires, fluids)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and performance issues
- Repair brakes, suspension, HVAC, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Maintain and repair skid steers and excavator equipment
- Perform welding as needed
- Ensure vehicles meet DOT and safety requirements
- Maintain accurate service records and coordinate maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training required
- 3+ years of automotive or fleet mechanic experience
- DOT inspection qualification required
- ASE certifications and CDL a plus
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work independently
