MCI is looking to hire a full-time Fleet Specialist Coordinator to work out of our shop location in Davenport, IA. Â
What can you expect in this role?
The Fleet Specialist Coordinator will be a key player and assist the Equipment Manager in maintaining, managing, and organizing equipment and vehicles used for projects for the heavy highway and construction industries.
Under the supervision of a Equipment Manager, responsibilities will include:
Using technology to monitor location and status of 300+ pieces of construction equipment and vehicles
Making sound, data driven financial decisions regarding equipment upkeep, buyouts, purchases and rentals
Digitally tracking warranties, utilization and maintenance to ensure safe and cost effective equipment use
Serving as primary point of contact for fleet equipment status and location
Maintaining organization of equipment within the yard for optimal access and efficiency
Performs inventory counts on equipment and materials related to multiple jobs and projectsÂ
Regular travel within a 4+-hour radius of the Quad Cities to get to company job sites. Regular OT required during peak construction seasons. Â
Here’s what it takes to get started:
Safety first mentality while driving a safe work environment
Mechanically inclined to understand the scope of fleet and equipment maintenance
Comfortable using technology; experience with GPS technology related to fleet maintenance a plus
Previous experience working on Civil, Industrial, or Heavy Highway construction projects, or background in supply chain or logisticsÂ
Strong organization skills with a desire to consistently perform in a physically active construction environment
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with various departments, teams, and companies within the family of MCB companies.
Proven leadership abilities.
Valid driver's license required. Class A or B CDL a plus.Â
