Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Track and monitor the status of all fleet vehicles and schedule regular maintenance
• Direct and / or perform minor vehicle maintenance and repair as required
• Track all recall activity and schedule with dealers for completion
• Reconcile monthly expenditures with credit card receipts and account for discrepancies
• Provide monthly updates of planned work/maintenance for the upcoming month to the
Transportation Director
• Ensure all vehicles are up to branding standard
• Use departmental software to:
o Create work items as needs are identified
o Update database as work items progress and are completed
o Enter all expenses by vehicle
o Maintain the database current for all fleet vehicles
o Load fuel usage data into database
• Work with Transportation Director to improve software functions
• Assist Transportation Director in acquiring new vehicles and disposing of old ones
• Prepare all DOT vehicles for annual inspections and manage the process to successful
completion
• Maintain the garage keeping it clean and orderly
• Ordering supplies as needed, keeping adequate supplies on hand to maintain vehicles -oil, fluids, parts, Etc.
• Properly dispose of all fluids, keep separate from unlike fluids, and follow EPA disposal standards
• Participate in committees and meetings, as appropriate.
• Participate in on-call rotation for roadside emergencies
• Adhere to all St. Coletta policies and procedures
Supervisory Responsibilities: This, job supervises the Fleet Assistant and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; recognition, appraising performance; issuing corrective action, addressing complaints; and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
High School or GED education, plus work experience in a .related field, or an equivalent combination of training or experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and1 small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite products, Internet, time/attendance system, and company developed software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid drivers license with a past driving record that meets the standards set forth by the organization. Ability to complete and maintain all required training in accordance with County, State, and Federal regulations
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to respond to and de-escalate behavior issues. Ability to create effective business correspondence. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to make sound decisions and problem solve. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships. Ability to motivate others. Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the organization.
Other Qualifications: General knowledge of Jefferson County. Minimum one year driving
experience in all weather types.
