Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking

Flight Software Developers

to join a key team within Cimarron in support of a human spaceflight program! The selected candidates for this position can be located in either Centennial, CO, or Houston, TX.

Key Duties:

Create automation tools to perform development and testing tasks using Python.
Integrate tools with existing tools and those from, for example, Atlassian (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
Work with stakeholders to guide the design and development of automation tools/
Develop and maintain the flight software.
Make changes to existing flight software.
Write and perform unit tests on the changes.
Conduct software peer reviews.
Develop and run integration tests.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible for consideration at this time.
2 or more years of experience developing automation tools.
Strong software debugging skills.
Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.
Experience interpreting formal requirement specifications.
Ability to support occasional travel to Houston, TX or Centennial, CO.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Experience working in an SAFe/Agile environment.
Strong experience with Python.
Experience with embedded systems and hardware in the loop simulations.
Familiarity with Ada, C++, and Fortran programming languages.
Familiarity with machine learning and large language model applications.
Ability to work well in a remote/hybrid team environment.
Aerospace experience.
