Description

The Flight Support Trainer is responsible for onboarding, developing, and mentoring new and existing team members within the Flight Support department. This role ensures consistent operational knowledge, system proficiency, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, process-driven, and passionate about building team excellence through hands-on training, coaching, and follow-up.

Duties and Reponsibilities

  • Assist in developing and deliver a structured onboarding program for new Flight Support team members
  • Provide hands-on training in core systems, including Fl3XX, ForeFlight, FlightBridge, Microsoft, and internal communication tools
  • Reinforce daily expectations: situational awareness, IROP response, service accuracy, and escalation protocols
  • Audit shift handovers and in-flight service entries to ensure SOP compliance
  • Support managers with skills assessments, training feedback, and performance checkpoints
  • Maintain and update training documents, SOPs, quick reference guides, and FAQs
  • Partner with Duty Managers to identify knowledge gaps and provide targeted coaching
  • Host recurring “refresher” sessions or new system update rollouts
  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous learning

Experience and Qualifications

The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.

  • 2+ years of experience in Flight Support, Dispatch, or Charter Coordination (Part 135 preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep familiarity with systems like Fl3XX, FlightBridge, Microsoft, and operational communication tools
  • Clear, confident communicator—both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Process-oriented with a focus on standardization and repeatable training outcomes
  • Prior experience in a training, lead, or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and how they impact daily charter ops
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Ground Ops, Client Services, and Duty Managers
  • Comfortable creating documentation and training materials from scratch
