Position Summary
As a Bartender, you’re responsible for servicing guests and preparing beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serving food and beverages to guests in the food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, bar and outlets. Responsible for maintenance of bar area and support the restaurant servers and other bartenders.
Essential Functions
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including garnishes, following service standards and guest preferences.
Stay current on trends to create and present cocktail menu items to leadership.
Anticipate guests’ needs, take orders using suggestive selling, respond promptly, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
Complete opening and closing duties, maintain bar stock levels, requisition supplies, and ensure all condiments, glassware, and equipment are ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, promptly clean and reset stations after guest use, and oversee barbacks to ensure smooth operations.
Record orders accurately in POS system, process payments following cash handling and credit policies, and manage tip collection and reporting.
Maintain required certifications (e.g., TIPS, Food Safety), adhere to safety, security, and operational policies consistent with company standards.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers and other departments to ensure efficient and quality service.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Abilities
Understand and align with the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
Prioritize tasks, work efficiently with limited supervision, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language, demonstrating excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, equipment handling, and compliance with required licenses or certifications.
Ability to comprehend and follow recipes.
Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions, using good judgment to resolve problems, follow directions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Maintain a current permit or food safety certification as required by the local government.

- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation

Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
