Lucas Therapies, a H2 Health company, is seeking a Float Physical Therapist Assistant to support our outpatient clinics throughout the Roanoke region. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys variety, collaboration, and the chance to work with diverse patient populations across multiple clinic locations. Whether you're an experienced clinician or a new graduate, you'll be part of a supportive team focused on exceptional patient outcomes and professional growth.
As a float clinician, you'll work across multiple outpatient locations within the Lucas Therapies and H2 Health network throughout the Roanoke market. You'll gain exposure to a variety of patient populations while building relationships with experienced clinical teams dedicated to delivering individualized, evidence-based care.
Your Role
Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Treat orthopedic, post-operative, musculoskeletal, balance, vestibular, and mobility-related conditions.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
Accurately document patient progress and communicate treatment updates with the clinical team.
Utilize Scribe AI-powered documentation technology to streamline documentation and maximize patient care time.
Utilize the Raintree EMR platform for documentation, scheduling, and patient management.
Travel between assigned clinic locations throughout the Roanoke region as needed.
Collaborate with Physical Therapists and support staff to support strong patient outcomes.
Requirements
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
CPR certification or willingness to obtain as required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Ability and willingness to travel between assigned clinic locations.
