Job Description - Float Teller/Member Service Representative

We are currently seeking a dynamic Float Teller/ Member Service Representative to join our team and help drive our mission forward. 

About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Float Teller to join our team! In this role, you will support multiple branch locations, assisting members with financial transactions while delivering exceptional service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and building relationships with members across different branches.
Hours varies from 7:15 am to 6:30 pm M-F  

What You’ll Do

  • Process member transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
  • Handle cash transactions and negotiable instruments such as money orders and cashier checks
  • Balance your cash drawer and daily transactions with a high level of accuracy
  • Verify and post transactions to member accounts while maintaining accurate records
  • Greet members warmly and provide information about products and services
  • Identify opportunities to recommend Credit Union products that meet member needs
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phones
  • Travel to and support various branch locations as needed
  • Perform additional duties to support branch operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous cash handling, teller, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different branch environments
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Professional appearance and dependable attendance
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Maintaining a balanced cash drawer with minimal discrepancies
  • Accurately processing transactions with limited errors
  • Resolving member inquiries efficiently and effectively

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Education

  • A high school education
