Job Summary:
Under the task supervision of the Food Service Manager and the First Cook, the Floating Kitchen Aide (FKA) is responsible for assisting with meal prep, food service, facilitation, and adherence to the cleaning schedule and sanitation standards mandated by NYC Aging and NYS Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The Floating Kitchen Aide is required to work across the OAC meal sites as needed. The site location is subject to change regularly.

This position provides a flexible schedule, with shifts ranging from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Workdays may be scheduled on any day, including Sunday and Saturday. Please be advised that this position necessitates availability and flexibility to work occasional weekends and holidays, as well as to fill in at other OACs as needed during the specified hours of operation.
Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
