Floodgate Technician

Handex is expanding and we are seeking reliable Floodgate Technicians for part-time positions to ensure the smooth operation of all daily waterfront and gate activities located in Keansburg, NJ.

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Founded in 1968, we have over 56+ years of experience and have no intention of slowing down!

Key Responsibilities:

• Tide Watch: Perform required tide watch duties and monitor conditions as necessary and advise management as needed.

Salary:

$25.00 an hour.

What Skills are Required:

• Hours: Willingness to work part-time 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Environmental Monitoring (Tide Watch): Ability to maintain continuous situational awareness and staying highly alert while interpreting tide charts, water levels, and weather impacts.
• General Handyman Skills: Carpentry, plumbing, and basic masonry for surrounding structures.
• Background Checks: Ability to successfully pass background checks, including drug/alcohol screening, DMV review, and physical examination.
